KEEP mining is how onchain gameplay shares KEEP into your own wallet. Each UTC day, a funded pool of up to 98,000 KEEP is shared among the players who played that day and committed Forge Ingots at their Gold Forge. After the day closes, the results are worked out, checked and published on Solana, and you claim your share whenever you like. Your share follows how you actually play — recent activity, EXP, useful onchain actions, your base's progress and the ingots you committed — so a maxed-out base that nobody plays receives nothing.

Onchain gameplay is in development on devnet; dates will be announced. Pixel Kingdom Wars runs on Solana devnet: devnet KEEP, SOL and items have no monetary value, and nothing on this page is a promise of income.

This page is the player guide. For what happens on the server and on Solana, read KEEP mining: how it works. For the two new player records that come with it, read Renown and EXP. For where each part stands today, read Onchain Gameplay: progress and rules.

KEEP mining in one picture

The KEEP mining loop in seven numbered steps over two rows. Top row: a SHARDS crystal and the Workshop tools (10,000 SHARDS = 1 ingot), a Forge Ingot and a cart of ingots (commit during the UTC day), and the Gold Forge with a star (commit there and play that day). Bottom row, right to left: an hourglass (the day closes at 00:00 UTC), an open chest (the pool is shared), the KEEP coin (claim to your wallet) and a Gem (optional: 1 KEEP = 1 Gem). Footer: up to 98,000 KEEP a day, shared by weight; 80% of your share goes to you
Fig. 1The whole loop, from SHARDS to your wallet. Delivered asset-package art, not regenerated; the in-game look may still change.

In short:

  • Cast Forge Ingots at your Workshop: 10,000 SHARDS each.
  • Commit them at your Gold Forge during the UTC day, and play that day.
  • The day closes at 00:00 UTC. Every share is worked out, checked, and published on Solana.
  • Claim your share to your own wallet whenever you like. It never expires.
  • Spend it in the game if you want: KEEP converts to Gems 1:1, one way.

Three names, three things

TermWhat it means
Gold ForgeThe building on your base. It stays; from the update it takes Forge Ingots instead of SHARDS.
Forging KEEPThe process: committing ingots to the Gold Forge during a UTC day.
KEEP miningThe rewards screen where each day's published allocation appears and you claim it to your wallet.

"Mint" is used only for NFTs. Nobody creates KEEP by playing: every day's pool is funded in advance and shared.

Before you start

  • A Workshop. Forge Ingots are cast there, so KEEP mining needs one. See Workshop and Forge Ingots.
  • An active base. A wallet can have up to 5 active bases, and only active bases take part. You can own more Land Deeds than that; the others simply sit outside the five.
  • Play on the day. Every day that pays needs fresh play and committed ingots. Your score carries you between visits, but it never pays a day you did not play.
  • With or without a Land Deed. Bases on a Land Deed share the large Land Deed pool. Wallets without a Land Deed share a small pool of their own. What a base without a Land Deed needs in order to take part will be announced.
  • Optional boosts. Linking a Seeker and a base on a Genesis Land Deed add weight — see Weight boosts.

A day of KEEP mining

One UTC day as a timeline: play and commit ingots during the day; the day closes at 00:00 UTC, and in testing a battle started before midnight still counts. After the close, four steps: the day is worked out and checked, published on Solana, passes a short safety check, and is ready to claim with no expiry
Fig. 2One mining day, left to right. In the version being tested, winning a campaign battle is what counts as play, and a battle started before midnight counts for the day it started. Delivered asset-package art, not regenerated; the in-game look may still change.
  1. Cast ingots at your Workshop: 10,000 SHARDS each. See Crafting.
  2. Commit them at the Gold Forge any time during the UTC day. You can add more later that day, but you can't take any back, and committed ingots are protected from raids.
  3. Play. In the version being tested, winning campaign battles is what counts as play for the day, and a battle you start before midnight counts for the day it started — even if it ends after 00:00 UTC.
  4. The day closes at 00:00 UTC. The game works out every share from its own records, an independent check recomputes the whole day, and the result is published on Solana.
  5. Claim. After a short safety check the allocation appears in KEEP mining. Claim it whenever you like — tomorrow, next week or next year. It never expires.

What happens to your ingots

Committed Forge Ingots at the Gold Forge split three ways: counted ingots are used for your share, ingots above your capacity come back to you, and on a day that did not count or was called off every ingot comes back; a shield marks that raids can't touch committed ingots
Fig. 3Where committed ingots go when the day closes. Delivered asset-package art, not regenerated; the in-game look may still change.
  • Committed ingots are protected. A raid can never take them, and nor can anyone else.
  • Counted ingots are used. When the day is settled, the ingots that counted toward your share are used up.
  • Extra ingots come back. Ingots above your capacity for the day are returned to you.
  • A day that didn't count gives everything back. If the day didn't count for you, or the whole day is called off, your committed ingots come back. In the current design, so do ingots whose share would round down to nothing.
  • Nothing is guessed. If a record the day depends on is missing or in conflict, that day waits until it is resolved — nobody's activity is counted as zero by mistake.
  • Unused budget is never handed out. KEEP that no one qualified for stays in the mining vault (the vault that holds each day's funded KEEP); it is never shared out to other players.

How your share is worked out

The share equation: counted ingots up to your capacity, times your score from activity, EXP, useful actions and base progress, times a boost of +10% (Seeker), +20% (Genesis Land Deed) or +30% (both), gives your weight; an example with three players' weight bars mapped to slices of the pool; and a strip showing that when every player has the same boost, every slice stays the same
Fig. 4Weight decides your slice of the pool. The three players are an example. Delivered asset-package art, not regenerated; the in-game look may still change.

Each pool is shared by weight:

  • Your weight = the ingots that count (up to your capacity) × your mining score × your boost.
  • Your share = the pool × your weight ÷ everyone's weight in the same pool.

Capacity is how many ingots can count for you in a day:

  • A wallet without a Land Deed can count up to 2 ingots per day — 20,000 SHARDS of ingots — shared across its bases without a Land Deed.
  • A base on a Land Deed has more capacity, and it grows with the base's progress. The exact amounts are still being tuned.
  • Buying ingots can fill your capacity, but it never raises it.

There is no fixed cap on how much KEEP one wallet can claim; the pools and everyone's weight set the limits. When only a few players take part, a mining floor caps how much one ingot can collect, and the rest of the budget stays in the vault — so an almost-empty day can't hand a few players an outsized share.

Your score

Your mining score is made of:

  • Recent activity — the play you did lately.
  • EXP — a new wallet record of your progression that grows from your own play. See Renown and EXP.
  • Useful onchain actions — at most one bounded credit a day, for spending Gems you converted from KEEP on in-game sinks such as speed-ups, recruits, buffs and extra Mines.
  • Base progress — your Keep, Workshop and Gold Forge levels.
  • What you contributed that day — the ingots you committed.

What never counts:

  • Resource farming on its own. No contribution means no share, and a maxed base left idle receives nothing.
  • Converting KEEP to Gems, holding Gems, Gems → SHARDS, and Gems from the store or tasks.
  • Trades, sending things to yourself, and claiming over and over. The score counts actions, not amounts.

The exact weights inside the score are still being tuned.

Between visits

Your score is kept for 48 hours after your last qualifying play, then fades gradually to zero. A missed day therefore does not reset you: come back within 48 hours and you pick up where you left off.

A kept score never pays an idle day, though. To share in a day you still need to play that day and commit ingots. How quickly the score fades after 48 hours is still being tuned.

Weight boosts

Boosts add weight to your score; they do not add a fixed amount of KEEP.

You haveWeight
A Seeker-linked wallet+10%
A base on a Genesis Land Deed+20%
Both+30% (added, not multiplied)
  • Boosts apply per base. A second Genesis Land Deed boosts its own base; it never multiplies the boost on the first.
  • One Seeker credential is planned to boost one wallet at a time.
  • If every player had the same boost, every slice would stay exactly the same: a boost only matters against players who don't have it.

The two pools

The daily pool of up to 98,000 KEEP gross, split into 5% for wallets without a Land Deed (up to 4,900) and 95% for Land Deed bases (up to 93,100); when the day is published, each share splits 80% to you, 10% to the Seeker Island pool and 10% back to future mining
Fig. 5The daily pool and where each share goes. Delivered asset-package art, not regenerated; the in-game look may still change.

The daily pool is split before anything else:

PoolShare of the dayAt most, per day (gross)
Wallets without a Land Deed5%4,900 KEEP
Bases on a Land Deed95%93,100 KEEP
  • The pools never top each other up. KEEP one pool doesn't use stays in the vault; it never moves to the other pool and never becomes anyone's claim.
  • The pool without a Land Deed is small by design. It is an introduction to KEEP mining. With many players taking part, one wallet's daily share from it can be very small.
  • Wallets with both kinds of base. Whether a wallet that holds a Land Deed can also draw from the smaller pool through its bases without a Land Deed is still being decided.
  • Up to 98,000 KEEP is a ceiling, not a promise. Budget that isn't allocated stays undistributed.

Claiming to your wallet

Five numbered claim steps: Ready to claim, with the KEEP coin over an open chest; Estimate fees, with the SOL mark; Approve in your wallet; KEEP arrives, with a sparkle trail; and Renown recorded, on a stone plinth. Footer: your first claim sets up your records, a small one-time cost you pay; no claim fee, no minimum, never expires
Fig. 6A claim, step by step. The effects are the package's own reward and Renown animations. Delivered asset-package art, not regenerated; the in-game look may still change.
  1. Ready to claim. The day's result is published and has passed its safety check.
  2. Estimate fees. KEEP mining shows what the claim will cost in SOL before you commit to anything.
  3. Review and approve in your wallet. Your wallet only signs; the game then sends exactly the transaction you signed.
  4. KEEP arrives in your wallet.
  5. Your Renown is recorded on the same claim. See Renown and EXP.

What to know:

  • No claim fee, no minimum, and allocations never expire.
  • One claim collects every unclaimed day. Claims are cumulative, so waiting loses nothing.
  • You pay the Solana costs. Every claim pays the ordinary network fee. Your first claim also pays the one-time rent for your permanent claim record, your Renown record and, if you don't have one yet, a KEEP token account. Nobody sponsors these costs, and the rent for the two permanent records is never refunded.
  • No SOL? KEEP mining shows the top-up you need. Your allocation waits for you and is never lost.
  • A failed claim pays no KEEP, but the network fee may still be spent. Prepare it again when you are ready: saved claims survive an app restart, and nothing retries by itself.
  • It's already after tax. The amount you claim is your 80% and is never taxed again.
  • Allocations belong to your wallet, not the base. Selling a Land Deed never takes your mining allocations with it; unused Forge Ingots stay with the base. (Today's Gold Forge works the other way: its claims go to whoever owns the base.)

EXP, Renown and recent activity

Onchain gameplay gives each player record one job:

  • EXP tracks your progression.
  • Renown is your permanent onchain record of taking part in KEEP mining.
  • Recent activity, part of your mining score, feeds your KEEP mining share.

Renown never raises your KEEP share or your capacity, and you don't need any to mine. The full picture: Renown and EXP.

Forging KEEP

Taxes, in plain words

Taxes apply once, only to newly gathered resources and newly mined KEEP, and the team takes nothing:

SourceYouSeeker Island poolFuture miningTeam
Newly gathered resources and SHARDS80%20%—0%
Newly mined KEEP80%10%10%0%
The island pool: 20% of new resources and SHARDS and 10% of newly mined KEEP flow in, and the pool is split equally among the Seeker Island spots that won the term
Fig. 8Where the island's share goes. Delivered asset-package art, not regenerated; the in-game look may still change.
  • At most, on a fully allocated day: 78,400 KEEP to players, 9,800 KEEP to the island pool and 9,800 KEEP back to future mining. The 98,000 ceiling is counted before the tax.
  • Tax is taken once, on new production. It applies when something is newly gathered or mined, and never again on claims, transfers, purchases, spending, refining, tax receipts or returns from escrow, and never retroactively. The KEEP you claim is already after tax.
  • The recycled share funds later days only. It goes back to the mining reserve, as does KEEP paid for Gems; neither tops up the day it came from.
  • What the tax covers: new production from Mines, the Realm Harvester and expeditions.
  • Tax-free: campaign rewards, quest rewards (including the daily quest bonus), mail rewards and Gems. How a few other rewards are treated will be announced.

A KEEP market sale (planned) is not taxed as new production either: it pays the seller 90% and burns 10%, with nothing to the island pool or the team, and buying ingots there never raises your capacity. See Market and trading.

The island pool is shared equally among the Seeker Island spots that won that term — see Seeker Island.

Fair-play rules

  • Only activity you did yourself counts, and it stays credited to you.
  • A Land Deed counts for a day only if it was yours for the whole day.
  • Trades, sending things to yourself and repeated claims never count.

FAQ

Do I get KEEP while I'm away?

No. Your score is kept for 48 hours so a missed day doesn't reset you, but a day only pays if you played that day and committed ingots.

Why did some of my ingots come back?

Ingots above your capacity for the day come back to you. So does everything you committed on a day that didn't count for you or was called off, and — in the current design — ingots whose share would round down to nothing.

Why is my share from the pool without a Land Deed so small?

That pool is 5% of the day, shared by every wallet without a Land Deed, so with many players each share can be very small. A mining floor also caps how much one ingot can collect when few players take part.

Can buying ingots help?

Only up to your capacity. Extra ingots fill capacity you already have; they never create more.

Does a boost mean that much more KEEP?

No. A +30% boost is 30% more weight in a shared pool, not 30% more KEEP: it's a larger slice only relative to players without the boost. If everyone had the same boost, every share would be unchanged.

Do I lose KEEP if I don't claim?

No. Allocations never expire, and one claim collects every unclaimed day.

What if I have no SOL?

KEEP mining shows the SOL top-up you need for the network fee and, on your first claim, the one-time account rent. Your allocation waits and is never lost.

What if my claim fails?

You receive no KEEP from that attempt, though the network fee may still be spent. Prepare the claim again; nothing is lost from your allocation.

What if I sell my Land Deed?

Your mining allocations stay with your wallet. Unused Forge Ingots stay with the base and go to the buyer.

Does Renown raise my share?

No. Renown is a permanent record of taking part; it never changes your share or your capacity. See Renown and EXP.

Will the Gold Forge still drop items?

Item drops after the switch are still being designed; the plan will be announced.
